Simon on the Streets are excited to welcome Transition Partners as a 5 for 5 Corporate Partner. In this year where the pandemic has affected all of our events and usual fundraising activity, one of the other areas that has been impacted is our ability to host our 5 for 5 Corporate Networking events. In the summer we switched to the virtual world and have been hosting monthly networking events for our corporate partners and creating a space in which they can network with each other but also engage with Simon on the Streets by sharing ideas and learning about how we have been working throughout the pandemic.

A couple of months ago we were contacted by the CEO and Founder of Transition Partners Sandra Patel-Stewart offering support and wanting to learn about what Simon on the Streets does. Our Business Development Manager spoke to Sandra about this and what impact the pandemic has had on the work of the charity both on the streets and on income.

Sandra soon confirmed she would like to join the 5 for 5 partnership and commit to donating £500 per year for 5 years. Sandra had this to say about why they have decided to support Simon on the Streets, "Transition Partners were really keen to get involved with Simon on the Streets from the first conversation we had! As a local business in the heart of Leeds, we often see the struggle of homeless individuals first hand and we want to help as much as we can. We are very passionate about giving back to the community and super excited to be partnering with such an incredible organisation who are out on the streets changing lives!".

Since joining the 5 for 5 Corporate Partnership, Transition Partners have already committed to taking part in our upcoming Simon's Big Sofa Surf fundraiser and have been fundraising through their network.

Fahad, our Business Development Manager said, "We are excited to have Transition Partners join our 5 for 5 Corporate Partnership and commit to supporting our sustainability. As a charity with no long-term income, sustainability is always an area we are developing. Through 5 for 5, businesses can help us do just this. We look forward to working with Sandra and her team into the future!".
