Simon on the Streets (SotS) are delighted to welcome Stowe Family Law in Huddersfield on board as a corporate partner and supporter. Stowe Family Law are a national law firm but also have offices in Huddersfield and in Leeds. The Huddersfield office have chosen Simon on the Streets as their charity to receive a donation of £250 to be used to support the homeless and vulnerable adults who find themselves on the streets for prolonged periods of time. Having seen how the pandemic is continuing to affect Simon on the Streets funding in 2020, the Huddersfield team were keen to lend their help by making a contribution to Simon on the Streets.
Maria Coster, a Senior Solicitor at the Huddersfield office said, "Stowe Family Law are proud to be supporting the incredibly important work of Simon on the Streets. As they operate completely independently of government funding, corporate partnerships and donations are crucial to the success of their efforts. With Stowe's presence in both Leeds and Huddersfield, we recognised this is a good opportunity to support a local charity and help rough sleepers in West Yorkshire."
Simon on the Streets Outreach Workers have been working tirelessly throughout the pandemic to support rough sleepers across Leeds, Bradford and Kirklees. As the government Everyone In scheme has come to an end, there has been an uplift in the number of people on the streets again.
Natalie Moran, CEO at Simon on the Streets said, "We are really grateful to the Huddersfield office of Stowe Family Law for their donation of £250. We have seen a huge impact on our funding due to the pandemic and every donation makes a huge difference. With this money we will be supporting our clients with access to temporary accommodation and by providing them with essential items like phones and bus tickets where needed so they can attend appointments."
