Step into Simon's Shoes

Every day our Outreach Workers walk the streets of Leeds, Bradford and Kirklees searching for homeless and vulnerable people and providing them with 1-2-1 emotional and practical support. This is the start and from there we try and help them achieve whatever it is they would like to achieve, often making efforts to move away from the streets.

On average they walk 20,000 steps in a day...that is around 10 miles! We are asking you to step into their shoes and take on a day, a week, a month or even a whopping year's worth of steps! Are you up for it?!

Taking part is easy

All you need to do is:

  1. Choose your distance! You can do this by walking or running 20,000 steps, or cycling the equivalent distance which is 10 miles. You can do the challenge as an individual or a team with your family and colleagues at work virtually and get your distance done by the 17th July 2020!
  2. Download our Fundraising Pack from or email us at
  3. Set a fundraising target and get motivated! You can set-up an online fundraising page via Justgiving or Virgin Money Giving and get started with your fundraising!
